Brief Job Description

· Purchase of various commodities and services using various procurement methods and systems inclusive of multiple funding sources.

· Perform Administrative duties related to procurement practices such as perform public bid openings, submittal of online bid specifications, and preparation of associated documents.

· Execute Requisitions, Purchase Orders, bids and contracts, and maintain procurement records in accordance with all applicable guidelines, policies and laws.

· Perform administrative duties related to procurement payable documents and procedures to ensure timely payment to suppliers.

· Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop bid specifications to meet all applicable guidelines, policies and laws.

· Generate and prepare contract documents from resulting bid specifications and bid results.

· Interact with the Office of the State Comptroller, Attorney General, The Research Foundation for the State University of New York Counsel, SUNY Construction Fund, as well as SUNY general counsel’s office as needed.

· Support supplier diversity through participating at various MWBE events both on and off-campus, as well as supporting/executing necessary MWBE reporting functions.

· Provide assistance, guidance and training to University staff, regarding the clarification of purchasing policies, practices, procurement system use, applicable guidelines, policies and laws.

Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, guides, job aids, website, and assist/ participate in cross-training for Procurement office functions

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business related studies

· Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management

· Excellent Time Management skills with focus on accuracy and timeliness

· Excellent Organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Progressive experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management

· Experience working with online procurement systems (E.G. Jaggaer, Coupa, Workday, etc.)
