We are a family-friendly agency, supporting our employees and their families with excellent benefits and a commitment to making CCRN a great place to work for everyone.How CCRN Supports Our Employees:Babies at Work program to support new parents and their babiesAccess to Shared Company vehicles, to minimize wear and tear or mileage on your personal vehicleGenerous PTO that begins accruing immediately upon employment16 days of paid holiday pay, including a floating holidayCompetitive Health insuranceDiscounted Dental and Eyeglass coverageTrainings, Professional Memberships, and Professional Development Classes paid for by CCRN to help your professional growth!Position Summary:Under the direction of the Director of Education and Training, the Education and Training Specialist is responsible for providing training, technical assistance, and education programs to child care providers of all modalities with a focus on school-age.As An Education and Training Associate, You Will:Be a great teacher and an engaging speakerBe passionate about learning and educating school-age providers in the communityProvide training, coaching, and technical assistance to school-age providers using all modalitiesImplement professional development training which will include the School-Age Care Credential (SACC)Utilize current research-based and best practice informationUse feedback from evaluative tools to guide decision making and planningMeet the diverse needs of school-age providers in the communityImplement Education and Training Department programs and initiativesConduct school-age program observations and assessmentsTrack data related to Education and Training Department programs and initiativesServe as a member of the Education and Training team and attend meetings and trainingsServe on a committee supporting our internal and/or external communityServe as a member of the CCRN team and actively participate in required meetings, trainings and outreach events.Carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description, in accordance with the agency’s team philosophyWhat You’ll Bring to this Position:Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Childhood Education, and/or Elementary Education or related field and three years of direct school-age program experience; or an Associate Degree and/or NYS School-Age Care Credential with six years of direct experience.Current New York State Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential (T-TAP) Credential or plan of action to achieve credential within first six months of hireMinimum one year experience training adults, including planning and development of curriculumStrong knowledge of child development Birth-12, with a focus on school-ageAbility to apply knowledge in varied school age settings.Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent human relation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people including the current predominant linguistic, racial and ethnic populations of Erie CountyAbility to work independentlyWillingness to regularly travel in Erie CountyAvailable to work evenings and weekendsMultilingual in English and Spanish or other languages that would support servicing our customers a plusCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid NYS Driver License and a vehicle with current registration and insuranceSalaryPay starts at $20-22 per hour based on experience and/or education.Please email your resume to Debra Goodman at dgoodman@cfsbny.org
