HOURLY RATE: $18 - $20 Based on experience

Job Summary
The Guidance Office Clerk is a support role within the Counseling department. The Clerk works as a support to the counseling staff through consistent communication and efficient clerical support. The Clerk provides general office assistance as well as personal assistance to the Counselors and students. The Clerk attends to the administrative and organizational tasks needed to efficiently keep the office in order.
Essential Job Duties
Assist the Counseling staff in personalizing educational plans for all students
Receive and assist visitors in the Counseling office professionally and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
Organize and manage student information such as report cards, class ranking, disciplinary information, graduation requirements, or any record related to a student's profile
Respond to mail requests from colleges and other institutions for student academic records
Assist students with organizing and executing their college applications and job applications
Assist with enrollment and unenrollment
Produce high-quality documents, spreadsheets, and presentations for school staff, students, families, and school staff
Create and maintain an efficient department in support to the Counseling team that is organized, professional, and helpful
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
This role requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED), some college is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of clerical experience, preferably in a school.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, written/oral communication, organization, time-management, and flexibility
APPOINTMENT STATUS: Permanent
POSITION STATUS: Full-time
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION: Ability to operate various office equipment such as fax machines/copiers, proficiency with Windows computers and Microsoft Office suite.
