Citigroup Commercial Subsidiaries Group - Relationship Manager in Budapest, Hungary

The Commercial Subsidiaries Group (CSG) Relationship Manager is a seasoned professional role that is also a part of the Citi Global Network Bank (GNB).

GNB brings together a global network of relationship managers from Citi Corporate Bank’s Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG), which banks the subsidiaries of its largest multinational clients, and Citi Commercial Bank’s Commercial Subsidiaries Group (CSG) businesses, which bank the subsidiaries of its commercial banking clients. This allows RMs to deliver the full capabilities and reach of the bank’s global network to clients.

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Commercial Subsidiaries Group -Relationship Manager based in Hungary with an oversight of Asian clients investing in the Central European region.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & service existing clients, as well as expand the portfolio within the dedicated target market and in line with Citi’s standards, policies and procedures.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships. Interact with key customer decision makers and stakeholders, in order to get a deep understanding of various business models & sectors.

  • Manage independently a diverse client portfolio, with a high degree of complexity.

  • Cross-sell together with dedicated partners a wide range of solutions, including financing & wider capital structuring options, cash management, trade & financial markets.

  • Contribute together with internal partners to various approval processes, incl. greenlight & credit memos.

  • Contribute to various presentations, pitches and client decks, as well as support partners with diverse internal materials / content.

  • Display know-how & awareness in terms of early problem recognition and remedial management, along with a strong understanding of risks.

  • Keep a sound quality of the credit portfolio, ensure adherence to Citi’s credit policies, procedures, programs, and best practices.

  • Maintain a strong and solid control environment (as per the AML, KYC and other policies).

  • Promote an enhanced customer experience & drive customer satisfaction.

  • Regular interaction with multiple cross border teams and partners, as well as the local leadership team.

Requirements:

  • The applicant should have 5+ years of relevant Banking experience.

  • Bachelor / University degree (Finance / Economics preferred)

  • Excellent English language knowledge, and fluent Korean or Mandarin

  • Proven sales track record in previous client fronting roles.

  • Ability to execute independently on complex transactions with limited guidance.

  • Sound credit knowledge, including financial modelling , CFA is an advantage

  • Expertise in risk assessment and in identifying any early warning signals.
