Oracle Senior Sales Consultant in BUCHAREST, Romania

Job Description

Oracle Solution Centre is a diverse, innovative Global team working on the absolute latest technologies in cloud and multi cloud computing and on-prem environments. We assist Sales in providing pre-sales support around architectural and technical expertise to provide a space for Oracle customers and account teams to bring the solutions proposed to life to convince them to invest in Oracle products. The individual should be dedicated, driven and an experienced Professional. Ideally have a good understanding of all the underlying infrastructure at the heart of Oracles Cloud computing.

The unifying characteristics of the position are a well-grounded, hands-on understanding of OCI especially dbaas with a sprinkle of Iaas and Paas and Cloud@Customer , an eagerness to learn quickly, and apply new technologies and services. Ideal candidates thrive on variety and innovation in their daily work, on interaction with customers and account teams who are world-renowned leaders in their fields and working with a wide range of technologies (open-source and vendor-supported) in a decentralized non-standard environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Experience in OCI Iaas, Passs and dbaas essential

  • Security Vulnerability fixes, ExaCC ExaCS patching and Administration.

  • Support the Governance of OSC managed tenancies and Cloud security.

  • Linux / KVM / OVM experience advantageous

  • Good Troubleshooting skills using MOS/Jira to action issues.

  • Working on virtual Global teams driving standards for security and good governance.

  • Comfortable interacting with account teams and customers when they come to visit the OSC in Warsaw campus. Providing DC tours and technical content for customer visit consumption.

Degree level education required or equivalent.

Must have at least 5 years professional experience as System Administrator (Linux)In addition:

OCI certification is an advantage

Proven experience in managing enterprise systems

Experience with virtualization technology and cloud computing is advantage

Excellent reasoning and analytic skills in problem-solving

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and meeting evolving requirements

Good written and verbal communication skills

English language is required. Other languages would be an advantage.

Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Skills in Automation and experience in SRE role is an advantage.

Would be an office-based role. Though flexible working can be accommodated via a Hybrid based contract as supported by Oracle Romania.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
