We are seeking a dynamic project manager ideally with experience in an FDA-regulated environment, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, clinical, healthcare, etc. This individual will support our R&D organization including scientists, chemists, laboratory staff, business analysts, business leads, etc. by helping them to understand our IT project management process and to successfully deliver on their requirements. This includes full lifecycle management of a project(s) from planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Strong financial acumen in order to manage project budgets, forecasts, and planning.

Additionally, they establish a shared vision with business unit stakeholders by building consensus on priorities and project execution while developing a foundation of understanding of R&D business processes.

Key Activities

  • Coach and mentor project team members on project management best practices

  • The ability to build strong and effective working relationships with all key contributors to the project – the development team (including QA), the business analysts, and the management [business / IT] stakeholders.

  • Remove blockers and impediments, helping to identify and coordinate dependencies across delivery teams.

  • Ensure business value is delivered while leading the project team towards a successful deployment of the project.

Qualifications

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, Prince, etc.) is preferred.

  • Agile Project Management Experience - desirable.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams).

  • Experience with Microsoft Project or MS Project Online.

  • Basic understanding of networks, cloud computing, application development, etc.

  • 5-8 years of managing small and medium projects from a size and complexity perspective.

Functional Skills

  • Budget, Financial, and Forecast Accountability.

  • Knowledge of budgeting and work scheduling tools and techniques.

  • Experience in a GxP-validated environment, CFR Part 11 – preferred.

  • Ability to Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement them successfully.

  • Critical Thinking; Decision Making; Problem-Solving: Actions / Next Steps Needed.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC Methodologies - Agile / Scrum / Waterfall.
