We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality painting services in commercial environments, including office buildings and retail spaces. This role requires expertise in surface preparation, application of paints and coatings, and ensuring a durable, professional finish that meets project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, caulking, or patching holes and cracks.
• Apply primers, sealers, or undercoats to ensure proper adhesion and durability.
• Mix and match paints or stains to achieve the desired color and consistency.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and storage.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Safely work on scaffolding, ladders, or lifts to access elevated surfaces.
• Inspect completed work for quality, ensuring a professional and durable finish.
• Perform touch-ups or corrections to meet company standards and client expectations.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within the specified scope.
• Manage inventory of materials and report the need for replenishment.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and techniques.
• Perform Sheetrock installation.
• Understanding and able to perform basic Painting such as Caulking, Tape and Float
• Perform texture application.
• Able to apply caulking.
• Understanding safety risks at work site.
• Move materials, tools and equipment.
• Set up work area and clean up
• Perform simple carpentry tasks with supervision.
• Responsible for the well-being and safety of the assigned crew
• Able to understand and meet productivity goals assigned
• Able to help with different trades as required.
• Responsible for the quality of the assigned Paint crew
• Responsible to manage the assign crew (including the performance, and behavior)
• Responsible for the materials, equipment and tools required for the crew to perform the task assigned
• Responsible to mentor and teach techniques, materials knowledge and equipment/tools usage to crew members
• Clear understanding and able to propose and meet productivity goals and improve as possible.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Painter in commercial construction projects (minimum 3-5 years preferred).

Education required:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree preferred

Qualifications:

Able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet), including the use of ladder

Proficiency in various painting techniques and tools.

Familiarity with surface preparation methods and painting materials.

An ability to read blueprints or specifications to determine painting requirements.
