We are offering an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented Controller in the Construction/Contractor industry. The role is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States and it involves the supervision of the accounting team, management of financial reporting, and overseeing various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure effective operation of the department.

• Oversee the processing of month-end closing and financial reporting.

• Ensure accuracy in the preparation and issuance of financial statements.

• Handle HR-related tasks as required within the department.

• Oversee the processing of payroll to ensure accurate and timely payment to all employees.

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

• Handle other accounting tasks as required to support the financial health of the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related preferred

• 5+ years of Accounting experience

• Familiarity with Sage 100 software for business management

• 2+ years of Controller or similar experience

• Construction experience highly preferred

• Familiarity with Sage 100 software for business management

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration
