Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public to be based in Brooklyn, New York. The successful candidate will join our established Public Accounting firm and will be responsible for a range of tax-related tasks. The position entails no travel and operates within standard office hours.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Individual, Partnership and Corporate Income tax returns

• Preparation of sales tax returns for clients in various industries

• Utilize skills in CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, Management System, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Cash Activity, Compliance, and Customer Service

• Maintain a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance

• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to ensure accurate and timely tax return completion

• Monitor and respond to client inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner

• Keep up to date with industry changes and tax laws to ensure compliance and advice to clients are accurate

• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional standards

• Actively participate in team meetings and continuous professional development activities

• Work alongside fellow colleagues to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Requirements • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in the public tax field

• Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax is required

• Familiarity with Gosystem and other management systems is necessary

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated experience in accounting functions

• Prior experience in auditing is required

• Must have a strong understanding of cash activity management

• Proven ability to ensure compliance in all tax-related matters

• Customer service skills are essential.
