Compensation:

Project Manager (TA) $71,726 - $93,587

Project Manager (OA) $68,435 - $89,290

Responsibilities:

Coordinate project activities from beginning to project close-out. Monitor project performance from initiation through daily, weekly, monthly check-ins. Identify resource and project issues, mitigate risks and ensure timely resolution. Manage project activities to minimize the impact on time sensitive product deliveries. Utilize software tools such as, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project to streamline work process and coordinate project activities with the project team, contractors, consultants, MTA operating agency staff, and other stakeholders. Ensure that the project schedules for development, quality assurance and training are managed based on the established timelines. Provide project progress reports.

Coordinate with MTA operating agency staff to ensure necessary actions, approvals, and resources are in place to support project delivery. Ensure project activities follow established requirements and adhere to all relevant standards, guidelines and procedures. Recommend solutions to senior management for the resolution of critical issues.

Qualification Requirements

  1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or

    1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in "1" above; or

    2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of the experience and/or college education as described in "1" above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of credit will be given for each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration. Experience which is primarily of a design nature is not acceptable towards meeting the minimum requirements.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to multi-task in a fluid and dynamic environment
