Description

As a Trauma Recovery Clinician at Astor Services, you will provide specialized therapeutic support to children, adults, and the families that are affected by trauma. Your work will be immensely challenging, but also personally and professionally rewarding. You will conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing trauma-informed care practices. You will also be involved in conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and participating in case consultations and team meetings. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans to help clients heal and rebuild their lives. The Trauma Recovery Center uses a strength-based approach to help clients in this short-term program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the impact of trauma on clients

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on trauma recovery

• Utilize trauma-informed care practices to support clients in their healing journey

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and supervision sessions

• Engage with community partners to enhance service delivery and support

• Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives

• You will need to go into and engage with the community.

Requirements

You must have:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field

• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York state – LMSW (or Limited Permit), LCSW, LMHC

• Specialized training and experience in trauma-informed care and therapy

• Strong understanding of trauma and its impact on children and families

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

You should have:

• Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

• Empathetic personality and dedication to helping families heal from trauma

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

Salary Description

$65,000.00-$80,000.00/yr
