Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will perform various assembly tasks, including selecting the correct components for specific assembly processes. This role requires the use of air power tools and hand tools, and occasionally making adjustments to ensure proper fit. Attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team are essential. You will specifically be assembling sinks.
Responsibilities
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues to maintain production efficiency.
Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize assembly procedures.
Choose appropriate components for specified assembly procedures.
Utilize air power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.
Adjust components to ensure correct assembly fit.
Follow safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large, clean industrial facility with 100 people on the production floor. The team is expanding to 30+ members in the coming weeks. The position offers two shifts: 1st Shift from 6am - 2:30pm, and 2nd Shift from 2:30pm - 11pm, with a $0.50 shift differential. You will work 40-45 hours a week, with some weekends required as needed. The dress code includes jeans and a t-shirt, with safety glasses and steel toe boots required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.33 - $20.83/hr.
