Red Hat Agile Coach - Core Platforms Agile Systems Engineering Team in Brno, Czech Republic

The Red Hat Core Platforms Agile Systems Engineering team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Agile Practitioner to join our team in Brno, Czech Republic. As an Agile Coach you will work closely with one of the brightest engineers in the open source community to create innovative technology for the next generation. As part of our team, you’ll focus on the OpenStack product. In your role as Agile Practitioner, you will collaborate closely with members of product engineering as well as a vibrant team of agile practitioners with a mission to help our Core Platforms business in its agile transformation.

What will you do

  • Be a part of Core Platforms Agile Systems Engineering Team in its overall mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.

  • Act as Scrum Master/Kanban Coach/Continuous Improvement Coach for multiple, distributed development teams, with a focus on coaching the team on Agile values and practices and encouraging them to continuously improve.

  • Assist team and Product Manager or Product Owner with user story development and backlog grooming, including identifying unaccounted work.

  • Facilitate or/and assist all team ceremonies such as: Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Demo’s, and Stand-up’s.

  • Track iteration status and resolve stalled or blocked user stories as needed.

  • Develop means to measure to help improve team effectiveness, including dashboard reporting.

  • Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity.

  • Focus on respectful adoption of agility through the identification and resolution of existing challenges.

  • Ensure that the teams that you are supporting become self-sufficient in the use of agile practices such as planning, regular check-ins.

  • Implement Jira workflows that require collaboration and support the transformation to agile practices.

What will you bring

  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership withdevelopment teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complexproject risks and issues

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production, coachingteams & programs at varying maturity levels using Agile & Lean methods

  • Agile project management skills evidenced by industry experience or recent certification(For example, CSP, PMI-ACP or new PMI-PMP)

  • Data driven analysis skills for measuring health of strategy-to-delivery

  • Experience with Jira or Open Source agile lifecycle management tooling

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication,mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team building

  • Creative approach to problem solving; ability to focus on details while maintaining thebig picture view

The following are considered a plus:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMP, orPrince2 (or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of the Red Hat products and application container technology

  • Understanding and appreciation of Open Source software development
