**Job Title: Sr. Engineer -- Controls/ Controls Manager Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On-site)
Job Description:**
- The controls engineer will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution and
- programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
- Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System
- Community as primary interface.
- Coordinating Controls Features development.
- Defining Feature Roll-out Plan (What and When) that aligns with overall program
- milestones and objectives.
- Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and
- Risk mitigation.
- Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative
- work environment.
- Ensure rigorous validation of control functions to meet and exceed specified
- requirements throughout the vehicle development cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other engineering units to drive the
- development of cutting-edge control technology.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controls engineering processes,
- methodologies, and technologies.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- As needed to work on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a
- proven record of working on his/her initiative and within a team delivering high-quality and
- robust technical solutions
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Previous experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded
- C, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
- Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
- Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
