Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Cumberland Dairy has an immediate job opening for fast paced and motivated Plant Forklift Operator to perform any combination of operating forklift to move materials and products, inspect outbound materials, unload, and handle all inbound materials, and monitor and run automatic palletizing equipment. Additionally, Plant Forklift Operators are responsible for handling material and product in a safe and efficient manner while communicating effectively with team members as well as following GMP and SOP rules and regulations.

OUR OPERATORS FOR THIS POSITION START AT AN HOURLY RATE OF:
- $19 per hour
SCHEDULE: 2-2-3 Rotating Turn Schedule
Night Shift Schedule: 6pm-6:30am

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum six months experience in operating a forklift in a high efficiency environment
Must have forklift operator’s certification
Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
Effective verbal and written communications skills in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with capabilities to lift up to 80 pounds, and assist others when lifting is necessary
Must be able to work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
