Description/Job Summary
Ensures production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on an daily basis. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs for all production, facility and utility equipment. Seeking a self-motivated, experienced and dedicated individual. Must comply with all safety rules and procedures. Maintain and complete all required records. Individual must be available to work overtime as needed. Perform other duties as required, or assigned by Supervisor.
Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment (including extruders). - Perform routine preventative maintenance. - Mechanical tasks: troubleshoot and repair gear boxes. Troubleshoot and replace bearings, chains, belts, and pulleys.
Preferred by not required--MIG weld, stick weld, drill and tap threaded holes. Read mechanical prints. - Electrical tasks: troubleshoot and replace AC and DC drives, temperature controls, start/stop electrical controls, troubleshoot PLCs, replace and wire 3-phase motors, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits. Read electrical, building, machine and flow diagram prints. Experience in industrial maintenance role preferred.
Knowledge and Education: Basic plumbing skills, knowledge of fittings and thread types. High school diploma/GE
