Additional Locations:Richfield / Remote Primary Locations:OH, Richfield, 3900 Kinross Lakes Parkway, Suite 100, 44286 Requisition ID:196306 Position Overview The Geospatial Technician's main focus is to technically convert daily documentation of utility pole infrastructure inventory and verification data collections in a digitized format. The fast-paced and ever-changing work dynamic will work on meeting production goals to create and update data for electric & telecommunication distribution networks. (ESRI Utility Networks, Geometric Networks and Joint Use data). Duties will be to join historic data to new data, analyzing and cross referencing multiple datasets, digitization of collected field documentation pictures, and work to create cartographically correct maps utilizing ESRI's software. The key objective of this position is to improve the quality and timeliness for digitized field collections. Job Duties Solve complex spatial problems quickly and efficiently using ArcGIS for Desktop and other GIS-related tools. Assist in developing innovative and efficient workflows. Support GIS projects and communicate project progression effectively to team members, field staff, and clients. Perform data analysis to ensure data quality (quality assurance and quality control). Enforce the integrity and accuracy of the data. Publish a map, feature, and geodata services. Conceptual understanding of how to unitize hosted services. Edit GIS datasets within an enterprise geodatabase environment. Import GIS data from alternative sources. Operate GIS-related software; perform data corrections and conversions. Visually identify and digitize electric distribution and telecommunication equipment utilizing ESRI's ArcGIS Pro Qualifications Knowledge of ArcGIS for Desktop, Catalog, Server, 10.3 +, ArcGIS Pro Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, planning, civil engineering, computer science, or a related field preferred or 2 years of related experience. Conceptual understanding of database management systems and how it correlates to an ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase environment (historically SDE). Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access). Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms). Ability to work with abstract datasets. Knowledge of Electric Distribution and/or Telecommunications preferred Must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week fully in office.
