Integrity Fab & Machine ASSEMBLER / INSPECTOR (FAB) - 2ND SHIFT in Breckenridge, Michigan

 

Responsible for all aspects of assembly operations and inspection; including set-up and sign off of finished products. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands

This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant. This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 50 pounds, endure prolonged standing, dexterity, and stamina is necessary. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma. Equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency may substitute for a degree.
  • Good planning, organization and follow up skills required.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to safely operate all material handling equipment, including fork trucks, overhead cranes, jib cranes, battery magnets, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

Two-year degree in CNC Operations or equivalent CAD program
