IBM Technical Program Manager for CIO Network Reliability Engineering in Bratislava, Slovakia
Introduction
The candidate will have proven and successful track record in leading reliability teams as well as demonstrated growth mindset & behaviour. Successful candidates will lead technical teams, gathering requirements from stakeholders and driving implantation within Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) scope 2. This leader will focus on future state, play a transformative role and be momentum builder to drive forward with our new way of operating. The candidate will have experience and hands on technical expertise in one or multiple network domains, including Campus/LAN/WiFi, WAN, Firewall, PoP, Site Reliability Engineering etc...
The candidate will demonstrate leadership and when dealing with ambiguous & challenging situations. The candidate will provide clear direction and roadmap when interacting with the global Product teams, network architects / SMEs, as well as the regional NRE and SRE teams.
Your role and responsibilities
Key Responsibility
• Successful implementation for support of Network Modernisation roadmap including defining / tracking of the technical support runbooks, effective partnering across functional teams; as well as leading projects specific to NRE.
• Partnering with Product owners, Edge, PoP, Tooling, Security and with key regional stakeholders and for all Steady state Site operations .
• Outstanding situational leadership quality with a strong growth mindset.
• Provide technical and project direction in the resolutions of issues, roadblocks; mitigation of risks and stakeholder communication and management.
• Foster effective teamwork culture; strong focus on growing talents and expanding their technical capabilities.
• Customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand user problems and deliver solutions that enhance End user experience and application performance.
Required technical and professional expertise
Required Skills:
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical leadership and program management of large Network initiatives.
· Strong understanding of networking, cloud services, data center operations, and virtualization technologies.
· Deep technical knowledge of current network technologies, hardware, protocols, and standards.
· Hands-on experience in one or multiple network domains, including Campus/Lan/Wifi, Wan, FW, PoP, incident and reliability management etc...
- Experience in scripting languages, software defined network automation, SDN controllers for network automation tasks.
· Demonstrated success in executive communications
· Demonstrated capability managing simultaneous programs, crisis situations, and successfully meeting business objectives.
