Chubb Risk Engineering Center Technical Training Instructor in Branchburg, New Jersey

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to support the development and delivery of the Chubb Risk Engineering Center educational programs. The Chubb Risk Engineering Center is a state-of-the-art 14,000 square foot facility that delivers in person and virtual loss mitigation training to our Chubb employees, business partners, and customers around the world. Attendees are equally comprised of Chubb employees and external customers, and our current course offerings include property, casualty, equipment breakdown, and the Internet of Things.

The Risk Engineering Technical Training Instructor will be responsible for balancing the Chubb Risk Engineering Center business learning needs with Chubb's enterprise goal of delivering consistent learning experiences across the globe. The position will also collaborate closely with the Chubb Risk Engineering Center Operations Manager to provide daily operational support and contribute to the development of educational programs and online curriculum. This will include facilitating and delivering courses to attendees, operating as a team to manage AV equipment and conduct facility demonstrations, managing the Chubb Risk Engineering Center curriculum library, including course revisions and new courses, maintaining a consistent and contemporary global outlook on Property, Casualty, and Equipment Breakdown topics, and collaborating closely with our Chubb Risk Engineering Services global network and technical experts to drive curriculum development and delivery.

Responsibilities:
Conduct an extensive review of all existing Chubb Risk Engineering Center training programs and modules, in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Ascertain their relevance and appropriateness for Chubb's operations. Discard or update existing modules. Develop new modules and materials as appropriate
Create and maintain technically sound and business relevant training materials and supporting documentation. This includes instructor led (both in-person and streamed) and self-guided courses, on-line eLearning modules and where appropriate, self-administered tests that support the curriculum
Personally deliver training or coordinate with the Operations Manager to arrange and manage other Chubb staff or external presenters in the delivery of training programs.
Facilitate core learning outcomes using most relevant pedagogical techniques and tools available
Work with the Operations Manager to effectively market the Chubb Risk Engineering Center to potential global attendees and increase sold service revenue.
Continuously assess the P&C industry landscape for important topics that can be turned into learning opportunities. This includes emerging hazards, technical issues, standard or code changes, and unique line of business or industry practice topics and products
Directly contribute to the Chubb Risk Engineering Center business plan to expand the center's training programs, increase revenue, and enhance digital presence
Ensure that curriculum is compliant with all Chubb policies and procedures, and all appropriate local regulations and requirements. Ensure external courses are approved by Chubb Legal for external use
Mentor and coach Risk Engineering team members and external trainers to improve their training skills and delivery methods
In partnership with our Chubb Overseas General and North America Talent Management, undertake a learning needs assessment with key internal stakeholders across Chubb Risk Engineering Services and our business partners
Master the capability to operate all AV and demonstration equipment located at the Chubb Risk Engineering Center. Actively seek opportunities to introduce new equipment and demonstrations to be used during training
Assist in the general maintenance of the facility and preparation for attendees and visitors (i.e. classroom set up and breakdown, supply ordering, restocking, course preparation)
