Williams Plumbing / Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator in Bozeman, Montana
Are you ready to take the driver's seat and power up some serious machinery? Williams Civil Construction (https://willplumb.com/projects/civil-construction/) is hiring Operators to be part of our action-packed worksites including utilities and site development. We're looking for skilled individuals who can s afely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment such as: blades, dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.
What You’ll Do:
Safety is our top priority, and as a Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping a keen eye for hazards to keep yourself and the team out of harm's way
Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers, for everything from precise excavation to smooth paving prep
Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging
Every day presents new challenges, but you'll tackle them head-on - whether it's troubleshooting equipment issues or adapting to changing site conditions, your ability to think on your feet will be invaluable
Keep time and material records
Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations
What You Bring:
Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
