SCOPE OF ROLE The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting a group of outside sales representative which includes Marathon Special Products (MSP) Associates and the company's Manufacturer's Representative agencies that cover the North America region. This role involves creating regional sales strategies, meeting, and exceeding sales objectives, and building a world class regional sales organization. This role is perfect for someone with a builder mindset that is looking forward to demonstrating their ability to build and grow a world class regional sales organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement world class sales strategies to outperform market expectation forthe assigned region. Agency Management: Be responsible for the company's Manufacturer's Representative agencies,ensuring they have the resources and knowledge needed to deliver the full growth potential of their assigned regions. Direct Sales Team Management: Build and lead a direct sales team that will deliver 80' territory's full growth potential. Performance Management: Build an engaged regional work force that is determined to outperform the market. Monitor the performance of the regional sales team (direct and agencies) to ensuresales targets are met and exceeded. Market Analysis: Remain fully abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customerneeds within the regions. Provide feedback to the internal team to inform productdevelopment and to continuously improve marketing strategies. Training and Support: Provide training and support to the regional sales team to ensurethe development of a world class sales organization. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Proven track record with delivering above market growth through the direct management of an outside sales team. Great understanding of the Manufacturing Representative go-to-market model. Proven track record with delivering growth through managing Manufacturer's Representative agencies. Demonstrate the ability to drive the performance of a direct sales team via the deployment of CRM tools. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics. Travel up to 75%. Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build and maintain relationships. Ambitious, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency. Expected Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 annually.Please note that compensation is based on a variety of factors when extending offer, including but not limited to, the role, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, qualifications, and business considerations.
