Job Summary

The Precollegiate Development Program (PCDP) welcomes applications for lecturers to teach in one or more of our summer programs. All lecturers will be required to attend a training day: Friday, June 6, 2025 at the CU Boulder Campus, as well as appropriate closing ceremonies.

  • Mountain Precollege Programs: June 8-19, 2025

  • Partnership Outreach Program: June 17-28, 2025

  • Closing Ceremony: Friday, June 28th at 1:00 PM

  • Sport Partnership Outreach Program: July 7-18, 2025

  • Closing Ceremony: Friday, July 18th at 12:00 PM

*No class will be held on Juneteenth (6/19)*

Who We Are

The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement, partners with communities across Colorado and beyond to provide first-generation students and their families with comprehensive college preparation and social development programming.

The Partnership Outreach Programs (POP) office provides precollege support to youth from across Colorado. Every summer we welcome and host over 300 students on the CU Boulder campus for summer academic and residential experiences.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Attend the class(es) you are hired to teach, being responsible for classroom management

  • Lesson plan

  • Create non-grading duties for the Instructor's Assistant in the classroom

  • Attend required training and weekly staff meetings

  • Maintain active communication with Director of the program

What You Should Know

  • Participants of our programs are primarily first-generation students thus we require the instructor to have experience supporting and teaching our first-generation student population.

  • This position does require you to teach in-person, and as an employee of the university you will be required to abide by university policies.

  • This is a temporary appointment with the university as a lecturer and does not qualify for university benefits.

  • We strongly encourage the instructor to use a web-based platform for course deliverables and materials (if applicable).

  • The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement can provide, at no cost to the instructor, course materials and printing if requests are made two weeks in advance.

What We Can Offer

Compensation will vary depending on the class being taught; compensation will range from $1,201.00 to $2,224.00.
