Intern - Experience Design Product Manager - Bothell,WA - Summer 2024

Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in Usability for a HealthTech company. You'll be part of a small collaborative team that contributes to the development of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) and advanced resuscitation and critical care devices, working with groups throughout the world to innovate medical devices and ensure patient care.

Your role:

  • Contributing to the design, development and testing for device Usability.

  • Contributing to the innovation of new products, using the latest technologies and resources.

  • Work with a team to develop creative and innovative medical device user validation and user testing to improve patient care and advance the field of resuscitation and critical care science.

  • Apply design thinking to develop protocols and analyze data to support U/X testing for AEDs.

  • Understand user needs and test/assess prototypes.

  • Create innovative designs and advancements to improve the user experience.

  • Document work and communicate results.

You're the right fit if:

  • Working toward BS/MS/PhD degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience in user testing and validation preferred.

  • Experience in design of study protocols and data analysis preferred.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $46.00, plus overtime eligible.The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
