System One Technical Research Assistant II in Boston, Massachusetts

Title: Technical Research Assistant II

Location: Boston MA

Duration: Full Time Direct

Hours: Monday thru Friday

Education:

Bachelor’s degree and a background in Biology or related field and with some research experience.

Requirements:

Conducts routine and non-routine experiments at a professional level.

Laboratory work, analysis of data using statistical techniques.

May perform literature searches and reagent procurement under the direction of supervisor.

Responsible for training new lab personnel in lab procedures.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for organization and processing of biologic specimens from human and animal studies.

Maintain humanized and mouse mast cell cultures.

Process biological specimens for generation of primary cell lines and maintenance and organization of frozen stocks.

Extract RNA, DNA and protein

Perform quantitative PCR, Western Blot, ELISA assays, mast cells activation and desensitization

Perform genotyping on human and mouse DNA samples

Additional responsibilities at the PI’s discretion
