Red Hat Senior Engineering Partner Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The Red Hat Engineering Partner Management team within Ecosystem Development is looking for a Senior Engineering Partner Manager to work directly with partners to grow the Red Hat Ecosystem. In this individual contributor role, you will join a dynamic and highly technical team to represent Red Hat by engaging with various strategic technology partners and help to ensure that their software applications are aligned with the Red Hat platform. This includes working directly with the partners’ product management teams to plan technical objectives as well as working with partner engineering leads to make sure that they are connected to the multiple resources available to them in order to help them achieve their planned goals. As a Senior Engineering Partner Manager, you’ll work closely with the Red Hat Partner Account Managers, Certification and Technical Product Managers to help plan and achieve the strategic objectives provided by senior leadership within the ecosystem partner organization. Engineering Partner Management comprises a diverse team from different technical backgrounds. To succeed in this role, you may have a background in technical support, technical account management, or professional services, and be looking to apply your technical skills in a new direction.

What you will do:

  • Identify and scope partner product integration points, evangelizing and aligning to the Red Hat Ecosystem strategy, by creating technical development plans to drive delivery of joint solutions

  • Lead regular partner interlocks with Red Hat Ecosystem stakeholders, ensuring alignment of joint products and solutions

  • Work with partners to identify workloads that could address new and innovative use cases as well as joint product enhancements opportunities (functional, performance and security)

  • SME representative for both the Red Hat product portfolio and partner products, understanding the product purpose, functionality, impact to joint customers, and roadmap information

  • Organize and lead roadmap review and planning forums between Red Hat and partner technical teams

  • Establish and lead the engineering to engineering collaboration between Red Hat and partners

  • Guide partners in overcoming technical development and testing challenges

  • Influence partner product development to facilitate integration with Red Hat products

  • Expand workload adoption on Red Hat platforms through integration and development planning and execution

  • Outward promotion of early partner integration work (blog, webinar and conference sessions) as a way to gather feedback and to popularize the join solution

  • Guide and assist partners in the Upstream to Downstream development lifecycle

What you will bring:

  • Desire to operate in an individual contributor capacity

  • Technical understanding of three core technologies: Linux, Kubernetes and Ansible; Domain expertise of one core technology, in particular

  • Knowledge of hyperscalers and how they relate to the Red Hat portfolio

  • Understanding of enterprise-level product development competencies - security, lifecycle, etc.

  • Be able to speak to and explain partner products and how they are supported as a Red Hat integration

  • Ability to develop consensus between opposing viewpoints

  • Comfortable with presenting to various levels of seniority and large audiences

  • The ability to articulate the value of enterprise open source products

The salary range for this position is $116,550.00 - $186,350.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
