They are responsible for developing and implementing program plans, budgets and scheduling courses and instructors. This position will also function as the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center (TC) Coordinator and serves as the principal resource for information, support, strategic planning and quality control for all AHA Instructors that are aligned with BCH’s TC.

The Program Administration Manager II shall be responsible for:

  • Managing the planning and implementation of program goals and objectives. Working in conjunction with Sr. Management to establish goals and objectives.

  • Responsible for budget proposals and recommendations and establishing budget control system for controlling expenditures; controlling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations; recommending equipment and resources for program.

  • Being responsible for business change management, including business process redesign, training, SOPs.

  • Managing project scope and timeline through formal change management processes.

  • Managing project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process.

  • Managing, selecting, training, evaluating and managing unit or department staff for effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Performing need assessments, evaluating and analyzing individual program and overall unit or department effectiveness; implementing appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy to fulfill the unit or department and campus mission.

  • Developing and managing the development of internal systems and materials for delivering programs and services.

  • Providing technical advice, policy interpretation, and guidance for applying appropriate procedures to staff, students and administrators.

  • Developing and facilitating or overseeing the development and facilitation of workshops, seminars and orientations.

  • Overseeing development of information flyers, internal forms and various materials to facilitate unit or department programs and services.

  • Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full time, 100% in office. Will travel between Boston, Waltham, and Needham sites.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 6 years of relevant experience. RN or Paramedic preferred.

  • Basic Life Support Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor within 2 years of hire.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.

  • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
