Description We are looking for a Security Network Engineer to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial to our ongoing efforts to improve and expand our Cyber Development and Testing team. You will be involved in the end-to-end process of developing new security use cases, requiring a comprehensive understanding of various information security concepts and their application in a corporate enterprise environment. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the organization's migration to a cloud environment

• Development and testing of new security use cases in the new Cloud SIEM tenant

• Facilitating requests between entities and providing assistance in any activities related to Threat Detection

• Conducting security log analysis and analyzing use case requirements

• Creating efficient and performant correlation search queries which will become security use cases, reports, or dashboards

• Recognizing and identifying patterns in data that will drive decision-making

• Designing, implementing, and executing testing procedures for new and existing security alerts

• Communicating effectively across several different teams and entities

• Providing precise and detailed documentation in regards to the development and testing of security use cases

• Utilizing tools such as Splunk, AWS CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and JIRA or any agile-based platform. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Security Network Engineering.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to document procedures and processes in a clear and concise manner.

• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA for project management.

• Proficient in creating dashboards and handling data queries.

• Demonstrated experience in network migration projects.

• Proficient in using SIEM tools and Splunk for security information and event management.

• Experience in end-to-end security procedures, including detection and use cases.

• Knowledge of entity formation and tenant security procedures.

• Ability to work on a quarterly deliverable schedule.

• Strong decision-making skills to choose the best security procedures and patterns.

• Experience in cyber security, particularly in detection and use cases.

• Knowledge of AWS technologies will be considered a plus.

• Must possess effective communication skills.
