Awesome opportunity for a Big 4 CPA looking to transition out of public OR someone with public/private wanting the next step towards CFO.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our client in the private investment industry. The role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and will be involved in all aspects of Accounting, Tax, Operations and some interesting projects.

Note: This role is 5 days in-office. Gorgeous Boston office setting with lots of employee focused amenities. There is good flexibility, but the firm is in-office. The upside to be in-person will dramatically improve visibility for projects, mentoring and onboarding.

Very diverse responsibilities include:

• Oversee the quarterly and annual accounting close processes for funds and management company to ensure timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

• Manage the annual audit and ensure successful completion within the established timeframe.

• Oversee the tax compliance and preparation process, including the analysis and filing of required state and federal taxes and withholding.

• Maintain relationships and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, fund administrator, and other service providers.

• Implement process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and strong internal controls.

• Provide analytical insight and support to the CFO and leadership team as needed.

• Assist with required regulatory filings and compliance processes.

• Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis and participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

Requires:

• Must have prior Big 4 Audit experience with Asset Management, PE VC FSO type clients.

• If directly out of Big 4 Audit, 5+ years, First Year Manager or stronger is best.

• A public/private mix is also a great profile with the same industry focus.

• Motivated and hungry to learn a ton.

Base plus bonus will get to the $200k +/- ball park. Excellent benefits on top of cash comp.
