ABOUT THE LIFE IS GOOD PLAYMAKER PROJECT

We teach early childhood educators to help kids heal through play. Our kids are in crisis. Depression, anxiety, and trauma are rising at alarming rates. We believe early childhood educators are perfectly positioned to be a powerful first line of defense in addressing this crisis. We give them the training, resources, and ongoing support they need to do so. We have a growing network of more than 18,000 professionals across the U.S. who use our trauma-informed, play-based approach to build positive relationships and joy-filled environments for children. We call these trained educators Playmakers. Our work is needed now more than ever. In 2023, we launched our new online platform, Playmaker University, offering a new teacher certification program, continuing education, and a supportive alumni community. Our NPS is off the charts, and it’s time for the world to know about us. That’s where you come in.

YOUR OBJECTIVE

Your goal is to create fresh, engaging content marketing strategies and content that boosts brand awareness, drives engagement, and attracts new potential Playmakers and supporters to our movement. You do all of this quickly, continuously, and measurably.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, implement, and optimize content marketing campaigns on different platforms such as social media, email, and website

  • Develop and execute our social content calendar to grow and engage both educators and supporters, working cross-functionally to ensure deliverables and KPIs are met

  • Source, create and/or produce compelling, brand-on content such as videos, infographics, articles, blog posts, and podcasts. Work cross-functionally with both internal and external teams where applicable

  • Coordinate with fundraising and program teams to develop engaging and compelling collateral and presentations

  • Manage the website and work cross-functionally to create landing pages, publish content, and optimize user experience

  • Monitor KPIs to track and measure the success of content marketing campaigns, reporting on results to leadership team and constantly finding ways to improve

  • Moderate, reply, acknowledge, and deeply engage with the community of Playmakers while collaborating with the team

  • Monitor ongoing social and cultural conversations to identify and respond to real-time opportunities to amplify the Playmaker Project voice

  • Project-manage and collaborate with the Life is Good Marketing Team, external vendors, and partners on related projects

  • Keep content updated and relevant, repurpose existing content, identify content gaps, and recognize opportunities to expand our content library as needed

  • Stay current on emerging trends and brainstorm new, creative content marketing strategies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS

The role involves tasks such as operating a computer, phone, and other office equipment, maintaining manual dexterity for typing and filing, and occasionally moving materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds. You will be required to to effectively communicate and understand information, both verbally and in writing, and adapt to various communication styles. You will be required to perceive and comprehend information through alternative means if necessary.

You will work in a professional, well-lit office setting with moderate noise levels from phones, computers, and conversations, and controlled temperatures. You'll be required to adapt to changes within the work environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • You bring the expertise gained from 5+ years prior content marketing or social media experience at a brand, digital agency, or marketing-related industry

  • You are active on social platforms and can explain how each platform is different from each other

  • You know how to tell a story with personality, simplicity, and originality

  • You are skilled at persuasive writing

  • You have experience designing and executing email and social marketing campaigns that achieve awareness goals

  • You have successfully managed cross-functional projects to achieve goals

  • You know how to grow high-quality followers and build engagement across main social channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with industry tools (ex: Adobe Creative Suite) to develop compelling visual assets

  • You are skilled at using website content management systems like WordPress

  • You can use and make decisions based upon SEO, Google Analytics, and related analytics tools,
