Your application will not be received. / To apply, follow the link belowto the Attorney General’s Office direct application page.* * https://ago-ma.igreentree.com/CSS_External/CSSPage_Welcome.ASP/ / Assistant Attorney General Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau Medicaid Fraud Division Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join her Medicaid Fraud Division as an Assistant Attorney General to handle complex criminal and civil enforcement actions related to allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings Primary Duties: Managing a caseload of complex civil and criminal matters with responsibilities including: partnering with federal, state, and civilian investigators to investigate allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings; drafting administrative demands, civil investigative demands, and grand jury subpoenas; drafting complaints for civil cases and applications for complaints in criminal district court cases; drafting indictments and presenting evidence to grand juries; preparing prosecution memoranda and search warrants; taking and defending depositions; taking civil investigative demand oral testimony; handling pretrial motions and discovery; drafting legal memoranda on motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, motions in limine, and summary judgment motions; conducting settlement and plea negotiations; and conducting bench and jury trials in both civil and criminal courts across the Commonwealth. Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to exercise good judgment and decision making while working within a collaborative team structure. Background and experience in complex civil litigation, health care fraud litigation, and False Claims Act litigation involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and Medicare/Medicaid providers preferred. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a connection and commitment to the people and communities we serve, and an interest in supporting a respectful and inclusive work environment.
