This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, staff position.

Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Business, Student Affairs Administration, Organizational Development, or related field; doctorate preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with strategic enrollment plan development and execution, student affairs administration, student success and/or student engagement.

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of significant progressive college leadership experience, demonstrating increasing supervisory responsibility, experience in enrollment management, student services and/or higher education administration.

  • Four (4) years of work experience with fiscal management and projections, personnel management, and project management required.

  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team on complex projects.

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent computer skills required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.

  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.

  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.

  • Must be capable of sitting in a stationary position for 50% or more of time.

Job Concepts

This position will provide visionary and operational leadership for the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services. The Vice Chancellor oversees all activities, programs, operations, and personnel of departments within the division, developing policies for achieving divisional goals and objectives.

Examples of Work

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Provide overall vision, strategic leadership, and administrative oversight for all operational areas within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services including Admissions, Registrar’s Office, Recruitment, Financial Aid, Student Life, Student Success/Retention, Counseling, Career Services, Disability Services, Cavalier Care Center, the Veterans Resource Center, and Student Conduct.

  • Oversee the development, coordination, and management of divisional changes to meet the College’s growth objectives and strategic plan objectives.

  • Monitor all activities, programs, operations, and departments within the division to develop best practices for enrollment processes, extra/co-curricular campus activities, student judicial processes, student services, and activities.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of policy and procedures that promote the overall academic, personal, and professional development and well-being of students.

  • Work with division staff, administrators, and other College constituents to ensure compliance with College policies and procedures, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain an understanding of current trends, ideas, research, and practices related to areas of responsibility for this position, through continued study and participation in professional organizations.

  • Provide budget planning, supervision, and implementation for each budget area within the division.

  • Engage professional development for the division.

  • Serve as the Chief Student Disciplinary Officer for the College.

  • Revise annually all divisional publications and handbooks.

  • Direct staff meetings with Enrollment Management and Student Affairs personnel.

  • Oversee property inventory for the division.

  • Serve as Ex-Officio member and regular member on various committees as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
