As a Senior or Principal Lead DRAM Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of next-generation DRAM products. Working collaboratively with various teams, including process integration, product engineering, and production design, you will contribute to the pathfinding of future DRAM nodes and bring groundbreaking insights to production. Your deep understanding of array parasitic, speed/timing bottlenecks, and CMOS gate variability will drive design optimization and innovations, ensuring exceptional die size, quality, reliability, and power.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a team known for their exceptional work, driving strategic goals, mentoring team members, and collaborating with partner teams to resolve issues. Your technical expertise and effective communication will be key to successfully implementing the team's goals and delivering world-class DRAM products!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with overall design, layout, and optimization of memory circuits

  • Perform circuit simulations using industry-standard tools (e.g., SPICE and VERILOG)

  • Design and develop schematic blocks for memory array, control logic, address decode, datapath, and internal test logic

  • Optimize design rules for cost, performance, and functionality

  • Import layout parasitic information into the circuit simulation environment

  • Interpret device specifications to ensure required functionality

  • Collaborate with process integration teams to address semiconductor technology concerns and opportunities

  • Develop innovative solutions and define requirements for circuit operation, with a focus on DFM. Equivalent experience will also be considered for educational requirements such as DFM.

  • Drive competitive advantages through test chip definition and silicon validation

  • Manage performance and development of a team of engineers to achieve strategic priorities

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of Design Engineering experience or 8+ years of Product Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry

  • Analog circuit design and/or debugging experience

  • Proficiency in circuit simulation using industry-standard tools

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process, CMOS device physics, and physical parasitics

  • In-depth knowledge of array core architectures, circuits, and functions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts

  • Have managed a team in the semiconductor industry regarding Engineering

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering degree
