Salary: Salary $90,000 to Depends on Experience.

Location: Boise, Idaho

Primary Duties: Deputy Attorneys General (deputies) in the Consumer Protection Division enforce the Idaho Consumer Protection Act and other consumer laws, including the Idaho Competition Act, Telephone Solicitation Act, Charitable Solicitation Act, and Charitable Assets Protection Act. Deputies select cases for enforcement, investigate alleged violations, negotiate settlements, litigate cases, and work cooperatively with law enforcement, other state attorneys general, and federal consumer-protection agencies. Deputies provide educational presentations to consumers and businesses, draft informational publications, respond to legislative inquiries, and assist the Division’s consumer specialists in obtaining business responses to consumers’ complaints.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must be a member in good standing of the Idaho State Bar or eligible for admission on reciprocity.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Experience in consumer protection litigation is preferred.
