The Project Coordinator supports assessment and student success efforts including documentation, reporting, coordination of support efforts, and collaborating with campus partners.

Department Overview:

This is a 12 month position to support the Undergraduate Prelicensure program and reports to the Sr. Business Operations Manager.

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions:

60% of the time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:

  • Plan, manage, budget, and support implementation of programs and activities including faculty development workshops, and consultation offerings.
  • Coordinate assessment documentation and reporting for faculty and student support activities.
  • Provide campus-wide technical support and assistance for development and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan (to internal and external audiences) including marketing materials, social media, and reports related to program initiatives.
  • Conduct research and summarize data to inform decision making, evaluate program effectiveness or alternatives, and to inform program development.
  • Maintain and update website with timely information, point of contact for upgrades and web compliance.

35% of the time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:

  • Recommends necessary changes for improved services and implements, as appropriate.

  • Performs many complex office tasks.

  • Represent SON in a professional manner in communications with all parties.

  • Use effective public relations and liaison skills to represent the SON programs through assisting callers, visitors, faculty, staff and students. Utilize knowledge of SON policies and objectives, complex clinical processes and various state academic requirements while exhibiting discretion to appropriately triage issues on to supervisors when required.

  • Independently compose correspondence such as letters and memos, reports and other documents that may include sensitive and confidential information for supervisor\'s or own signature.

  • Utilizing knowledge of university policies, process travel requests for SON. This includes:

    • Tracking the approval process and creating travel authorization forms.
    • Contacting travelers to assist in making travel arrangements, using a purchase card when possible.
    • Tracking travel expenses in appropriate budget sheets. Processing necessary forms for student travel.
    • Providing reimbursements of travel expenses following trips.
  • Working with the SON senior budget analyst, apply knowledge of all university policies to accurately manage Purchasing requests. This can include:

    • Verification of correct accounting codes.
    • Tracking all non-travel expenses incurred by faculty, staff, and students.
    • Processing faculty memberships.
    • Payment of invoices and purchase orders.
    • Ordering of Office supplies.
    • Management of all Purchasing Cards for the SON department. This includes tracking expenses, verification with receipts, and reconciliation.
  • Act as back up for department hiring and HR support.

5% of the time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and critically.
  • Experience planning and organizing projects and delegating work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Peoplesoft, Pageup, Payment Works.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range starts at \$48,609.60 annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
