Job Title: Auto Mechanic Level 3
FLSA Status: (non-exempt, Pay Grade 25) ?
Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Is responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles following Commercial Tire standards, completing preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, alignments, oil changes, replacing filters, and fluid exchanges. Mentors other Auto Service Techs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired.
- Consistently Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services
using the vehicles inspection report.
- Proper completion of Vehicle Inspection Report
- Mentors other Auto Service Techs 1 and 2.
- Perform vehicle alignments according to manufacturers specifications.
- Responsible for Maintaining shop equipment and Safety practices.
- Detect and perform mechanical issues, installation and repairs to brake, steering, suspension, transmission etc.
- Service customer vehicles according to Commercial Tires guidelines.
- Recommend products and services as needed.
- Able to quote repairs.
- May initiate purchase orders for parts.
- Support and track purchasing and returns.
- Completes all necessary training within 1 year and is required to
maintain certifications.
- ASE A7 Heat and Air Systems or 609 AC
- ASE A6 Electrical Systems
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements.
- 609 AC certification is required for air conditioning service repair.
- Participates in and completes all required training (example: Valvoline, TIA, safety, etc.).
- Completes jobs in a timely manner.
- Assist with phones, front counter, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Unless indicated otherwise, these are the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are required.
- 18 years or older, valid drivers license and insurable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or technical training.
- ASE certification A4 and A5
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required and is an essential job function.
