Nestle Hourly Hiring Event - Line Runner, Change Part Attendant, Porter, Pharmacy, Operator, Inspection in Bohemia, New York

The below positions are available for all 3 shifts:

  • 1st shift- 7am, 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

  • 2nd shift- 3pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday (Additional $1.50/hour shift differential)

  • 3rd shift- 11pm-7:30am, Sunday through Thursday (Additional $3.00/hour shift differential)

Roles Available:

Line Runner

The Line Runner ensures the efficiency of the operation of a packaging or manufacturing line. The Line Runner is responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensures that the designated line is properly set-up and runs productively.

· Completes the appropriate paperwork accurately and on time.

· Runs the various line equipment.

· Checks products on the line for damages and inconsistencies.

· Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

· Responsible for adhering to all SOPs, cGMPs, and safety requirements and procedures.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Change Part Attendant

Under the direction of the Manager, Supervisor, or Lead, you’ll be responsible as the Change Part Attendant for staging upcoming jobs in Packaging as per the production schedule. You’ll also be responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure supplies are ready for packaging line set-up

· Help clean and sort parts for packaging

· Oversee a clean and orderly work area

· Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP

Porter

The Porter is a vital member of the team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility. The primary role of the Porter is to ensure that the work environment is safe and clean for all employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

· Cleans warehouse, offices, hallways, lobby, break room, rest rooms, corridors and other work areas

· Empties trash containers and transports waste to disposal area

· Replenishes bathroom and break room supplies

· Keeps walkways clean

· May perform light maintenance, operate shredder and baler

· Maintains a clean and orderly work area

Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Associate is responsible for all activities related to the dispensing of raw materials as per a formula. Also, they are responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect, assuring the quality and quantity of products produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Dispenses raw materials per a formula independently as well as within a team environment

· Matches all labels with batch records

· Must be able to document process as per formula and SOPs and is responsible for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines

· Must be able to load and unload raw materials

· Monitor pharmacy process periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the manager

Machine Operator

The Coating Operator, Blending Opereator, Encapsulation Operator, Tablet Press Operator, or Compounder will be responsible for all activities related to their machine's role in producing our products, as per formula instructions. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Encapsulation, Blending, Compression, Tablet Press, or similar machinery

  • Match all labels with batch records

  • Must be able to document process information as per SOP

  • Load and unload machinery

  • Monitor machine operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions

Inspector

The Inspector (Softgels) verifies the quality/integrity of the product. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Visually inspects softgels and removes unacceptable softgels.

· Operates polish machines.

· Operates sizing machines.

· Sets scales with proper quantities.

· Fills cartons with product, labels cartons, and stacks them on pallets.

· Moves pallets with a hand jack.

· Cleans trays with alcohol/water solution and stack trays to a height of no more than 75 inches.

· Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance.

· Follows safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

All roles above have these requirements:

· High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.

· Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures.

· Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).

· Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $17.60-$23.18*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.

*This includes $3.00/hr shift differential
