New Opportunity to Lead Customer Specific Projects within Brake & Couplers (B&C) product line of Wabtec. We wish to align our Projects to a Customer Centric Approach in order to be fully focused on the Customer needs and drive Wabtec business towards the needs of the Customers

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Project Portfolio in terms of execution, especially scheduling and quality performance as well as profitability.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors in the execution of the project to ensure project is delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Drive a proper Project Portfolio launch over product introduction, commissioning and warranty

  • Lead and develop the Project Portfolio team

  • Responsible for customer and internal communication during Project Portfolio execution

  • Ensure fulfillment of Wabtec contractual obligations for the Project Portfolio, protect WT’s commercial interests with, strong anticipation and mitigation of risks

  • Drive opportunity measures (e.g. MIP) to improve project portfolio profitability (CM)

  • Ensure feedback and lessons learned to reach excellence in project execution and management and customer satisfaction

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • BA/MA

  • 15+ years of industry experience in managing large industrial, systems projects.

  • Strong financial background

  • Strategic and anticipatory thinking

  • Structured approach and strong rigorous project management skills

  • Proven ability to manage customers

  • Natural leader with high presence, seniority, reliability, energy and trust. People developer

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Where would you be working ?

Wabtec’s Transit Brakes & Couplers (B&C) business is recognized as an industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects, with a strong focus on project execution, project management and customer satisfaction. As a Director of Project Management, you will lead and work with a high performing project team in the successful delivery of a portfolio of international B&C system projects for one of our key customers.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of Transit B&C, you will play a key role in the execution and delivery of our System Project business. This role will be responsible for a portfolio of original equipment projects with a focus on delivery, execution, P&L performance of multiple projects for our key customers. In this role, you will lead a professional project organization, leveraging existing processes and tools, along with your entrepreneurial, people leadership and customer management skills. Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing and controlling the project portfolio budget and reporting on progress to management and stakeholders, elevating risks and challenges as necessary.

This role will also be the direct interface with the customer and all internal and external stakeholders.

This role will report to B&C Project Management senior director.
