Robert Half Help Desk Technician in Boca Raton, Florida

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in Boca Raton, Florida. The primary function of this role is to troubleshoot and repair minor computer hardware and software components, manage help desk administrative duties, and ensure the smooth operation of our technical resources. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on computer hardware and software components, including operating systems, hard drives, monitors, keyboards, printers, and peripheral equipment

• Install and move computer equipment as required

• Follow up with users to ensure that their technical issues are resolved

• Log all helpdesk issues in the ticketing system

• Manage administrative duties related to the help desk, such as tracking computer assets and managing company handheld scanners and other equipment

• Redirect technical issues to the correct resources when necessary

• Upload software packages such as operating systems, Java, Oracle, and Microsoft Products

• Use Jira Service Desk, MS Windows, MS Windows 10, MS Office 365, and Service Desk for hardware troubleshooting

• Travel to local stores and warehouses as required for technical support

Requirements

• Proficiency in Jira Service Desk is required

• Must be well-versed in MS Windows and MS Windows 10

• Familiarity with MS Office 365 is necessary

• Experience in Service Desk operations is essential

• Should possess skills in Hardware Troubleshooting

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to maintain calm in high-pressure situations

• Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Knowledge of ITIL processes would be a plus
