Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting daily operations of the warehouse and assembly areas.
• Understand customer requirements and prioritize resources to meet customer requirements
• Communicate with customer services using various mediums/tools (i.e., phone, email, etc.)
• Ensure product is ready for shipment by maintaining shipping / assembly supplies, and placing orders timely and accurately (i.e., boxes, packing material, tape, etc.)
• Coordinate inventory transfer and shipment to other Alabama Parker facilities
• Maintain and update data using mainframe (MSS) computer system (Check inventory, make inventory adjustments, open consolidations, upload shipping information, etc.)
• Operate mainframe printer to make ATO’s (Assemble to Order instructions)
• Utilize and trouble-shoot finished goods receipt (FGR) process
• Plan, delegate, and assignment of work to team members
• Train and develop team members
• Lead and facilitate HPT meetings and engage employees in the improvement process
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and update team improvement boards
• Open and close plant as required (weekends)
• Cover as the Coach as and when required
• All other duties as assigned
Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalency
• A minimum of 1 year work experience in a warehousing environment
Technical Depth and Breadth:
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft excel and other business applications (MSS) and planning tools.
• Basic knowledge of inventory and inventory reconciliation process.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring tools, Kanban system a plus
Physical and Mental Demand:
With or without reasonable accommodation:
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time (8 – 10 hours per day).
• Frequently required to work around and/or visit manufacturing operations exposed to noise, fumes, heavy machinery, and other shop-related hazards.
• Lifting and stacking up to 26 lbs.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.
