Actalent Survey CAD Technician in Bluffton, South Carolina

Job Title: Survey CAD TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Survey CAD Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing construction staking points, preparing field-to-finish CAD drawings, and completing various types of surveys such as Topographic, Alta, and Boundary Surveys. Other responsibilities include conducting As-built surveys, Boundary Reconfiguration, constructing legal descriptions, and researching plats and boundaries. This role requires clear communication with field crews, engineers, and project managers, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Hard Skills

  • Previous Land Surveying CAD Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/ Civil 3D

  • Ability to interpret Topographic, Alta, and Boundary Surveys, As-Builts

  • Ability to work with Trimble/Carlson survey data collectors

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans

  • Ability to reduce field notes and prepare office surveys

  • Basic mathematic and trigonometric calculations skills

  • Preparation of plats, drawings, as-built, tree, and topographic surveys and exhibits using AutoCAD/ Civil 3D

  • Perform routine analysis to check the accuracy and reasonableness of data

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Detailed oriented

  • Clear communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 7 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in NA, South Carolina.

Work Environment

Our office follows a standard work schedule from 7:30 AM - 5 PM. We cultivate a laid-back environment where our team of 8 can collaborate effectively. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week expected during normal business hours. Our office is conveniently located in the low country just outside of Hilton Head Island, SC, only thirty minutes from Savannah. We pride ourselves on our flexible work environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the CAD manager.
