Bi-County Services, Inc. Music Therapist (Rehabilitation) in Bluffton, Indiana
Position Summary: Implements and conducts music therapy programs in accordance with the Code of Ethics set forth by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the mission of Bi-County Services, Inc.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implements proposed music therapy
- Assesses consumer's strengths and needs in reference to music therapy and other disciplines.
- Documents progress, attendance, and incident reports according to Bi-County policies.
- Promotes the program's responsiveness to the needs and preferences of the consumer.
- Orders and maintains instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Leads music therapy activities at flexible hours.
- Initiates and implements outings and performances with groups.
- Organizes music therapy program area.
- Consults with co-workers to schedule music activities.
- Ensures consumers have a safe environment to include free from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violation of rights.
- Abides by professional standards set forth by the AMTA
- Participates in staff development, in-service training and staff meetings, as required; maintains professional requirements.
- Complies with agency Policies which include Employee Handbook and Code of Business Practices and Ethics.

- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals having developmental disabilities, staff, and the public.
- Ability to successfully pass training and remain certified in the following within 90 days of employment: First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration and Positive Intervention Techniques.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
