*Principal Engineer *
Coterie Applications, Inc., headquartered in Blue Ash, Ohio, seeks a Principal Engineer. Residence and remote work permitted from anywhere in the U.S. via telecommute.
Job Duties: Set the future technical course for computer systems, technology stack, and architecture. Help build up the software engineering team through a combination of mentoring and technical leadership. Build and write tests for application programming interfaces (APIs), rating engines, and other C# code, and aid leads in architectural designs. Develop and document new C# .NET Core APIs and services and refine and improve existing products. Work closely with the product management team in helping create a development strategy that fits product roadmaps and be a part of software engineering team interviews. Requires 15% domestic travel to conferences and internal education meetings in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or Information Technology or a closely related field of study. Employer will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials, or work experience determined to be equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or Information Technology or a closely related field of study by a qualified evaluation service. Also requires 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full-Stack Web Developer, Full-Stack Engineer, or closely related occupations.
The required experience must include:
(i) 5 years of experience in backend development using enterprise-level languages, including C#, Node.Js, and Golang;
(ii) 5 years of experience in version/source control systems, including Git;
(iii) 5 years of experience in data access patterns;
(iv) 3 years of experience in systems architecture and design; and
(v) 3 years of experience in cloud computing, including Azure.
The above required experience may have been gained concurrently.
Rate of pay: $127,000 - $182,000 per year
