*Primary Function:\ *The System Administrator is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the companys cloud environment, servers, operating systems, business applications, and baseline configurations. He or she installs, configures, and troubleshoots computers, wireless networks, IP telephone systems, and virtual server environments, in addition to performing the duties below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Design group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organizational standards, business rules, and needs.
  • Coordinate maintenance contracts and licensing for computer hardware, software, and telecommunication services.
  • Provide ongoing system and account optimization and problem-solving support.
  • Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
  • Install and maintain local area network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for system users in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Develop and document systems administration techniques and procedures.
  • Perform asset management/inventory of hardware and software resources.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer reported system incidents, problems, and events.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

*Education and Experience:\ *Bachelor\'s degree in Information Systems/Technology (or equivalent) and 4 to 6 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform this job successfully the candidate should have proven experience in customer service and the ability to function well on a team. The System Administrator will be expected, at times, to take a leadership role in assigned IT projects and tasks. These projects may extend beyond the IT team to include other business units or functional departments, requiring skill in collaboration and effective communication. The candidate should possess working knowledge of the following:

  • Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365 Administration (M365)
  • VMware Systems Management
  • Computer Hardware
  • Networking Switching and Tools
  • Virtual Local Area Networks (vLANs)
  • 11 WiFi networks

*Language Skills:\ *Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate throughout all levels of the organization effectively verbally.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

*Work Environment:\ *The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet typical of what is generally found in an office setting. The employee will occasionally find it necessary to enter a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is typical of that type of setting employees may be exposed to inclement weather, loud noises, tripping hazards; and there may be exposure to sparks, welding arc, open flame, and moving equipment.
