Job Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution:

  • Lead and manage multiple data and analytics IT projects, e.g., building a data platform, data architecture and governance, AI/ ML

  • Manage project end to end from ideation/ discovery and business case development to execution and value delivery

  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, AI/ML, security, and business units.

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk registers to ensure smooth project execution. Proactively manage risks, dependencies, roadblocks and escalate as needed

  • Manage project forecast and actuals and proactively problem solve risks/ issues

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:

  • Facilitate regular status updates, sprint reviews, and executive steercos to communicate progress, risks, and impact.

  • Bring stakeholders together to problem solve and prioritize, with a focus on value/ impact delivery

  • Pull in partners including Sourcing, Legal, Audit, Security, Risk, Finance, Enterprise Architecture at the appropriate times and maintain communication as required

Agile and product operating model:

  • Work with engineering and data teams to ensure best practices in data architecture, AI model deployment, and cloud-based solutions.

  • Implement agile and product management practices to iteratively delivery value, including working in a sprint cadence, managing a backlog, and conducting key touchpoints (e.g., sprint planning, sprint review)

  • Help the data and IT teams transition to a product operating model

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and business impact

  • Manage team level metrics, and identify and help teams implement process improvements, automation, innovation to drive continuous improvement

  • Develop material to demonstrate value delivered by the projects on an ongoing basis

  • Implement best practices in IT governance, data security, and compliance

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field

  • 8-10 years of experience in program management, portfolio management, and measurement in an agile context, and a proven track record in delivering complex projects

  • Experience leading data platform, AI, or IT transformation projects

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and AI model deployment.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and project management tools (JIRA, Monday.com); Scrum Master experience preferred

  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Experience managing a matrix team consisting of associates, contractors and vendors with various skills and disciplines.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to complement strong tactical execution skills

  • Ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate without authority across all levels of IT and business units

    This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $125,500.00.
