Personnel Board of Jefferson County SECURITY OFFICER in Birmingham, Alabama
Security Officers ensure the safety of visitors, employees, and the public at county and city facilities. Their duties include monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling buildings and grounds, screening visitors and their belongings, removing trespassers, and assisting visitors. Officers must write detailed reports on incidents or accidents. Work schedules may include days, nights, and weekends, depending on the assigned facility.
Qualifications:
Driver's license.
Ability to legally carry a firearm.
Experience in protecting people and/or property in settings like businesses, courthouses, airports, hospitals, museums, jails, or prisons.
Experience writing reports to document incidents or events.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday Friday 7am 5pm**
