KAMTEK is a premierTier 1, automotive manufacturing supplier that specializes inClass “A” Stamping, Assembly and High Pressure Die Casting that produces Body-side and Door Openings, Roofs, Floor Pans, Wheelhouses, Large Welded Assemblies, Doors, Fenders, Hoods, Lift-gates, Aluminum Shock Towers, and Aluminum Rear Rails. About the Role

Purpose of job is to ensure Cradle parts and processes are audited and documented for Customer and Kamtek and they meet all documented customer expectations. Give Cradles team/lines approval or not to proceed with production, support plant needs as necessary. The Quality Technician – CRADLES, is responsible for their safety and well-being as well as quality, part audits, system audits, customer cost, productivity, and ergo. This will be achieved by using company policies, SOP’s, WI, Procedures and the Magna Employee’s Charter as a guideline.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for keeping boundary parts in secure area to use for comparison on future runs

  2. Responsible for making decisions on findings to determine if acceptable to Customer or not, support Customer Specific Standards

  3. Quality System Audits

  4. Perform Incoming Receiving Audits

  5. Perform Material Certification Audits

  6. Perform Line process/part Weld Defect Audits

  7. Perform Check Fixture Audits

  8. Review CMM/Dimensional outputs

  9. Perform DFT testing of a destruct cradle weekly

  10. Perform Line process/part Coatings Defect Audits

  11. Perform/Audit Coatings properties of dry film thickness test, crosshatch testing, scratch test, and cure test

Who we are looking for

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; with a minimum of 1 year as QA Auditor, and have proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections.

TECHNICAL TRAINING: GD& T, Weld Standards, Manufacturing Practices, SPC

WORK EXPERIENCE

WHAT TYPES? Quality auditing/engineering, preferably production supervisor experience in the automotive manufacturing environment

HOW MUCH? Minimum of 3-5 years

Your preferred qualifications

• Ability to learn Cradle process

• Confidence to make decision on findings and support decision with evidence

• Good written communication skills

• Good verbal communication skills

• Ability to travel for training and work

• Understand Customer standards
