Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
The Fleishman Center seeks a Marketing Coordinator to lead the marketing and communications efforts of the office. This includes website management and development, social media management and development, and graphic design work.
The core responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator will be:
Liaise with center and staff to plan and execute communications and marketing plans for specific events
Work with various teams to support departments with photography, videography, writing, graphic design, media relations and social media services
Ensure that communications and marketing strategies are consistent and effectively coordinated with other divisional departments
Develop unique, cross-platform content for digital and print assets that follow University branding and style guidelines and align with divisional and University strategic priorities. Platforms include: social media, websites, videos, infographics, multimedia presentations, reports, press releases, and brochures.
Manage architectures of websites within a content management system (CMS)
Assist in the supervision of Fleishman Center marketing interns and student staff
Conduct annual communications audits to evaluate effectiveness of messaging and formulate future strategies
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through communications and marketing efforts
Contribute to the overall University mission and strategic plan by providing support for other University offices, committees and task force
Assist with communications projects for the Student Employment initiative
Oversee technology efforts within the office
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or related field
Two years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related field
Experience with InDesign, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (or similar platforms)
Experience with Uconnect website tool
Understanding of design principles in relation to print, digital and website design
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Experience monitoring and managing social media accounts for a business or institution
Ability to work independently, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with an attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Preferred:
Master's degree in communications, marketing or related field
Professional experience in higher education
Expertise in digital marketing, web communications and social media tools
Solid understanding of SEO, analytics and accessibility
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
