Job Description:
The Director of Business Operations - BOCES Central Business Office (CBO) role is unique, providing strategic direction and leadership for the CBO team members and the region's 15 school districts. Our ideal candidate is service-oriented and collaborative with experience in school business and finance as well as leadership and supervision for a team. Highlights of the Director of Business Operations - BOCES CBO position responsibilities include:
Coordinates, attends, and/or presents at meetings with school district leadership teams as requested;
Serves as a resource and advisor to the CBO team members and school district leadership teams;
Attends and/or presents at Board of Education meetings as requested;
Supervises and directs the CBO staff and is responsible for all personnel matters related to the CBO staff;
Oversees, offers guidance to, and is responsible for the CBO services provided to participating school districts;
Ability to build collaborative relationships with CBO team members and school district leadership teams and the Board of Education;
Continue to cultivate a healthy culture and improve the employee experience at the CBO;
All BOCES leaders are expected to assume additional responsibilities when assigned.
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NYS certification in School District Business Leader (SDBL) with three (3) years of experience working within the field of school district finance; or
