Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Binghamton client of his that is in the manufacturing industry. This organization that has had a lot of growth has an exciting opportunity for a Controller. The role involves overseeing financial aspects of the manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

• Manage the plant's budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with operational teams to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.

• Analyze plant performance metrics, including cost variances, production efficiencies, and inventory levels, to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Collaborate with others to provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making initiatives.

• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Provide financial leadership and guidance to plant management and staff, supporting decision-making processes and driving accountability for financial performance.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in the Manufacturing industry is required

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• MBA or CPA is a plus.
